Planters First Bank proudly announces the 2023-2024 December Educator Spotlight for Pulaski County Schools. This spotlight program is held in conjunction with the Pulaski County School System through their nomination and directional process on choosing the educator for the monthly spotlight that will run from September through April of each school year.

Ms. Theresa McGriff is a Kindergarten paraprofessional at Pulaski County Elementary School. This school year marks Ms. McGriff’s 25th year in this essential role. The following words come to mind when characterizing Ms. McGriff: gentle, kind, patient, wise, and dedicated.
Mrs. Bass depicts Ms. McGriff as the quintessential Kindergarten paraprofessional. She welcomes every child and treats them as her own. Ms. McGriff takes a personal interest in all the students and immediately forms a special bond with them. Her gentle and compassionate nature enables her to form a lasting rapport with the children in her class and throughout our school. For the past five years, Ms. McGriff has been working with Mrs. Kate Simmons. Mrs. Simmons states, “She has taught me so much about what it means to be a teacher and has been a supportive coworker and friend through my teaching journey and in life as well! I appreciate her passion and dedication to this profession.”
Theresa McGriff lives in Pineview. She is very family-oriented and enjoys spending time with her loved ones. Theresa also finds joy in being at home and working in the family garden.
