Evan AcresWe're a bank in the business of growing businesses. Each quarter, Planters Bank recognizes customers who have chosen to partner with us to help make their business goals a reality. Customer service isn't an afterthought; it's at the core of everything we do. Our goal is to help you succeed - because when you succeed, we succeed.

Congratulations to Evan Acres for being named 2020 Business Man of the Year during the 2020 Annual Awards hosted by The Perry Chamber. Evan Acres is the owner of the Casserole Shop with locations in Macon and Perry.

Evan Acres is a family man. His wife and four kids are always on his mind, and are the driving factor in his incredible work ethic. When he bought this business from his mother in 2019, he took it upon himself to keep the family of employees the first priority in the business.

"Our business exists to serve individuals and families through ready-to-bake family-style meals. Customers can come in and find everything they need to support their dinner table- everything from appetizers, salads, entrees, sides, and desserts. We aim to serve our customers above and beyond and create a strong culture of service, both to our customers as they serve their families and as they serve those around them with our products." stated Evan Acres, owner of Acres & Oak Kitchen formerly known as The Casserole Shop.

"Evan Acres is a class act- He is not a walker or jogger, but a runner. Evan has taken The Casserole Shop and successfully rebranded to reflect the Acres & Oak Kitchen logo, all while keeping the same heart and values cultivated over the past 15+ years. The Acres & Oak Kitchen team epitomizes servant leaders who have quickly become a pillar of our great community. Perry is better because of them, and Planters Bank is better because of them." stated Kristina Gibbs, Warner Robins Market President.

Since the beginning of 2021, like others looking for solutions during the COVID-19 crisis to help their businesses continue to operate under these unprecedented circumstances, Planters Bank assisted Evan in processing the Paycheck Protection Program application efficiently and timely.

Jason C. Lord, Perry Market President, commented, "It's been exciting to see Evan and his family make such a positive impact on the Perry community, not just from a business standpoint, but as friends and neighbors. They've become part of the Perry family, and we are thrilled to witness their growing success, especially during such trying times. It's been a blessing to be a partner with many small business owners like Evan and build a relationship beyond banking."
