Introducing Video Banking

Posted on

Planters First Bank Introduces Video Banking and Reinforces its Commitment to Technology with a Personal Touch.

Planters First Bank announces the launch of its new Video Banking solution. Planters First Bank in collaboration with POP i/o is the first financial institution in Georgia to offer this POP i/o video solution to its customers and prospects. Video Banking offers the perfect combination of technology and personal local service. Until now, the technology introduced within the banking sector has often missed the mark when it comes to local service but with our Video Banking solution, Planters First Bank adds a local hometown banker to the technology. Not only does it allow customers to interact face to face it also allows bankers to share information, capture signatures on agreements/requests, demonstrate services and much more. This new service can be found in the PFB Video Banking app in the Apple App Store or Google Play store and on the Planters First Bank website.

“Today’s environment has increased the need for this type of solution since many people still want hometown banking but may not be comfortable returning to the branch environment or prefer to bank from an environment of their choosing. Additionally, this solution adds the personal touch to services such as account opening that online applications are often lacking at other financial institutions. Although traditional online applications do their best to streamline the process, many customers are still left with questions and in many cases these questions result in an abandoned application, the wrong account, and frustration,” according to Dan Duchnowski, Chief Deposit Officer and Chief Marketing Officer at Planters First Bank.

Video Banking is supported within the new Solution Center that Planters First Bank introduced earlier this year. The Solution Center is comprised of dedicated bank employees who have been trained to effectively use Video Banking and the services associated with this new product. Prior to Video Banking, this group of talented local bankers had been assisting customers with their everyday banking needs via telephone and email. As our solution evolves we will introduce Video Banking at select branch locations so customers can interact with subject matter experts within a secure bank environment.

Some of the services that this solution will assist with include the opening of personal accounts, customers questions, enrollments is services such as debit card overdraft protection, sharing product information, and demonstrating services such as how to enroll in online banking, setting up transfers to other accounts, and how to order checks.

Planters First Bank recognizes that technology is critical to its success but that it needs to be done right. Video Banking is an example of how technology should be introduced since it’s fully integrated and features our greatest resource, Planters First bankers. Lastly, this solution proves that community banks can offer the products and services that our customers want and need. Planters First Bank is proud to be Middle Georgia’s Hometown Bank.
