National AAP Recognition Day

Posted on

On February 8, 2022, Nacha and the Payments Associations honored more than 4,500 Accredited ACH Professionals as part of National AAP Recognition Day. This day highlights the importance of AAP accreditation, as well as celebrates the achievements and contributions of AAPs nationwide.

We are fortunate to have our own Accredited ACH Professional at Planters First Bank. We would like to give a special shout-out to Tracy NeSmith for this distinguished accreditation. As an accredited ACH professional, Tracy has an enhanced ability to assist businesses and government agencies in effectively managing their ACH network use and strengthening their risk management profiles.

“Having and maintaining my AAP status allows me to better serve Planters First Bank and our business customers by using the payment knowledge I have gained. I enjoy advising businesses on how to grow while managing their banking with convenience and confidence.”

Tracy NeSmith, AAP
VP Treasury Support Officer

Commemorating the Day
Check out this series of videos that Nacha created spotlighting the AAP accreditation. You’ll hear from AAPs about the value of the program, as well as what’s involved and why you should consider it. Nacha and the Payments Associations will commemorate National AAP Recognition Day by flying a U.S. flag over the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. The flag will then be awarded to one lucky AAP at the annual AAP & APRP Reception at the Smarter Faster Payments 2022 conference May 1-4 in Nashville, TN.

About the AAP
AAP accreditation establishes an individual’s credibility, professional competency, and expertise within the payments industry. AAPs become the go-to expert regarding changes to the Nacha Operating Rules and industry regulations. Organizations with AAP-credentialed staff also experience operational efficiencies, enhanced risk management oversight, improved regulatory compliance, and increased customer service and satisfaction. The annual exam window occurs in October. Learn more about the AAP program.
