Planters Bank Announces New Leadership in their Legacy Markets

Planters Bank is pleased to announce their new Management Team in the Pulaski, Wilcox, Crisp, Dooly, Ben Hill, Irwin and surrounding counties in Georgia. Under the direction of Eli Tinsley, President, Chief Banking Officer the following individuals have been selected to lead these important markets for Planters Bank:

Tim Wynne, Regional President
Tim joined Planters Bank in 2000, and during his tenure he has built upon the bank’s strong reputation in the Hawkinsville Market. Due to his outstanding contributions he has been promoted to Regional President for Pulaski and Wilcox counties. Tim has 34 years of banking experience and prior to joining Planters Bank he worked at other local banks and focused on business development through lending opportunities.

Tim is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and the Georgia Banking School. He currently sits on the Community Bankers Association (CBA) Agricultural Committee. Tim resides in the Hawkinsville area with his wife Holly and has three children, Carrie Margaret (26), Jake (20), and Presley (11). Additionally, Tim is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hawkinsville, a member of the local Rotary club, a former Board member of the Hawkinsville-Pulaski County Recreation Dept. and Board member of the Hawkinsville Housing Authority.

Carol Arflin, Regional President
Carol joined Planters Bank in August 2019 as the Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending and has recently been selected to lead the Crisp and Dooly counties as Regional President due to her tremendous experience and relationships throughout the community. Prior to joining Planters Bank, Carol was the City President of the Vienna, GA market for a local bank.

Over the last thirty-five years, Carol’s banking experience has afforded her the opportunity to focus on agricultural and commercial lending, risk assessment and problem loan management while working in a community banking environment. Carol is a member of the Unadilla First Baptist Church and serves on the Board of Directors of The Gateway Center, Inc. in Cordele. She was born, raised and currently resides in Dooly County with her husband, Steve.

Jake Walters, Regional President

Jake joined Planters Bank in 2014 as Market Leader, Commercial Lender and has been promoted to Regional President for the Ben Hill and Irwin counties based on his strong commitment to the local communities and his strong success since joining the bank. Prior to joining Planters Bank, Jake held various roles in banking including CSR, Relationship Manager and Lender.

Jake is a graduate of Valdosta State University and has a Life and Health Insurance license in Georgia. Jake lives in Ocilla with his wife, Kristy and their three children, Whit (8) and Elie (8), and Cecilia (5). Jake is a member and Treasurer of the Ocilla Baptist Church, a member and past President of the Ocilla Rotary Club, a board member with Wiregrass North Foundation and an Ocilla-Irwin Chamber of Commerce board member. Jake enjoys fishing and playing golf with his family, coaching his kids in sports activities and RV camping.
