Planters First Bank Announces Promotion of Chief Operating Officer

Middle Georgia (May 2023) - Planters First Bank is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Rusty Slade to Chief Operating Officer. In this expanded role, Slade will be responsible for overseeing loan operations, deposit operations, information security, and project management.

Slade has held many roles with Planters First Bank during his 30+ years of service, most recently serving as Chief Information Officer. Slade is a graduate of South Georgia Technical College, Georgia Southwestern College, Georgia Banking School at UGA, and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.

Slade resides in Cordele with his wife, Maribeth. They have 5 children and 3 grandchildren. Slade is active in the local community with membership on various committees, including Crisp County Power Commission, Crisp County Young Farmers, Crisp County Farm Bureau, South GA Tech Advisory Board, and Kiwanis.
