Paycheck Protection Program (PPP)

An SBA-backed loan that helps businesses keep their workforce employed during the COVID-19 crisis.

Notice: The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) ended on May 31, 2021.

The Small Business Administration has notified several trade associations that Paycheck Protection Program funding has been exhausted and that the PPP application portal stopped accepting applications. Based on this information, Planters First Bank is no longer accepting applications.

Additional information can be found below.

  • We are not able to accept new PPP applications or finalize any PPP applications that have not already been submitted to the SBA for approval.
  • If your application was already submitted to the SBA, we believe those will be processed.
  • SBA also offers additional COVID-19 relief.

PPP Forgiveness Loan Applications

The SBA is accepting PPP loan forgiveness applications. If you have used your PPP loan proceeds and are ready to apply for forgiveness, Planters First Bank is standing ready to process and submit your forgiveness application on your behalf.

Who can apply?

A borrower can apply for forgiveness once all loan proceeds for which the borrower is requesting forgiveness have been used. Borrowers can apply for forgiveness any time up to the maturity date of the loan. If borrowers do not apply for forgiveness within 10 months after the last day of the covered period, then PPP loan payments are no longer deferred, and borrowers will begin making loan payments to their PPP lender.

Before you get started.

Here is what you need to know: The U.S. Treasury and the SBA have continually modified the PPP guidelines since the program started. If you are not certain, be sure to check directly with the US Treasury’s PPP website for instructions, guidelines, and frequently asked questions. All guidance to date can be found at https://home.treasury.gov/policy-issues/cares/assistance-for-small-businesses.
