Planters First Bank is proud to announce the 2021-2022 October Teacher Spotlight for Pulaski County Schools. This spotlight program is held in conjunction with the Pulaski County School System through their nomination and directional process on choosing the educator for the monthly spotlight that will run from September through April of each school year.
Congratulations, Jaclyn King, for being selected as this month’s Teacher Spotlight!
Jaclyn King is a first-grade teacher at Pulaski County Elementary School. She has eighteen years of teaching experience. She has been teaching in Pulaski County since 2008. Throughout her teaching career, Mrs. King has taught Pre-K and first grade.
Mrs. King currently serves as a grade chairperson and mentor for new teachers. She spends countless hours planning challenging activities for her students and is always searching for innovative ways to make learning fun. Mrs. King is a nurturing, enthusiastic, and valued member of the PCES team, according to Monica Bass, PCES Principal.
Mrs. King believes that every student in her classroom has been placed there for a reason. She makes a conscious effort to make the most of every day. She sees each day as an opportunity to make a difference in students' lives. Mrs. King promotes a love of learning in her classroom by showing students that you can always learn something new. Mrs. King considers it a privilege to teach children in the community where she was raised and to have the opportunity to form relationships with many Pulaski County families.
Mrs. King holds a Master of Education degree. She and her husband, Michael, reside in Hawkinsville. They have one daughter, Mackenzie who attends The University of Georgia. All three are HHS alumni and are proud to be known as former Red Devils! In her spare time, Jaclyn enjoys reading, spending time with family, and watching the hummingbirds on her front porch.
