Planters First Bank is proud to announce the 2022-2023 December School Administration Spotlight for Pulaski County Schools. This spotlight program is held in conjunction with the Pulaski County School System through their nomination and directional process on choosing the educator for the monthly spotlight that will run from September through April of each school year.

Congratulations, Natasha Kilgore, for being selected as this month’s spotlight!

Natasha Kilgore is currently the principal at Pulaski County Middle School and is in the process of transitioning into the role of Federal Programs Director for the school system. Following the Christmas break, she will assume the position full-time.

A proud 1992 graduate of Hawkinsville High School, Natasha has always considered Hawkinsville her home. In 1997 she earned her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College & State University. A few years later, she completed her master's and specialist degrees in Educational Leadership through GC&SU. Her 26-year career in education began at Burke Elementary School in Bibb County, where she taught for 5 years and was selected as Teacher of the Year. In an effort to get closer to home, she accepted a position at Parkwood Elementary in Houston County and taught there for 2 years before landing a position with the Pulaski County Pre-K Program. During her 7 years at Pulaski Pre-K, she served as a teacher, Family Resource Coordinator, and Pre-K Director. From there, she moved to the Assistant Principal position at Pulaski County Middle School. After 3 years as Assistant Principal, she was named Principal of Pulaski County Middle School and is currently in her 9th year at the helm.

Natasha attends Southside Baptist Church and has 3 children: Ana, Emily, and Jase. If she is not spending her spare time with her children, you will find her cooking, gardening, or enjoying a good book!
