Planters First Bank proudly announces the 2023-2024 April Educator Spotlight for Pulaski County Schools. This spotlight program is held in conjunction with the Pulaski County School System through a nomination and directional process on choosing the educator for the monthly spotlight that will run from September through April of each school year.

Congratulations, Mrs. Kaleigh Grantham from PCES, for being selected as this month’s spotlight!

Congratulations to PFB’s April Paraprofessional Spotlight, Mrs. Kaleigh Grantham. Mrs. Grantham joined the PCES team in 2022. Mrs. Grantham has countless attributes that make her a remarkable employee. She is patient, fair, compassionate, and is the best motivator for students and co-workers. Mrs. Grantham is always willing to help her co-workers and ALWAYS has a smile on her face!

Mrs. Lowry, the teacher who works with Mrs. Grantham, said, “I once read a quote about human sunshine and I instantly thought of my paraprofessional, Mrs. Kaleigh Grantham. ‘Human sunshine is a person whose smile can light up a room, whose laughter is infectious, and whose energy is like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.’ She spreads joy and happiness wherever she goes, and her positivity is contagious. Mrs. Grantham is the sunshine in our classroom. Our students light up when they see her each morning. She always greets them with a big hug and has sweet words for each of them. She is our biggest cheerleader, and she never runs out of words of encouragement for me or our babies. Not only is she the brightest light in our room, but she shines so brightly that it fills our entire building at PCES. I am very thankful and blessed to share my room and my students with her. To know Mrs. Grantham is to love her and I am lucky enough to call her my friend.”

The following are comments from the students she serves:

  • I love Mrs. Grantham because she loves me, too.
  • I love Mrs. Grantham because she gives me hugs.
  • She gives me big hugs and always smiles at me. She cares about me.
  • She is nice, and she helps me.
  • She’s really good at helping me work. I think she’s smart and she makes me happy.
